coming soon to the local congregations:.

still funny!
i would like to thank everyone who is a part of this community.
i have been abused by this billion dollar evil religion since i was born.
i am now in my late thirties and have been battling depression issues over my former abuses by this nongoverment organization.
Welcome! Let me say first off that choosing survival over honesty isn't cowardly, especially when it's a child making the choice. I am glad you survived and that your life is good. I understand the desire to reconcile with family who show no desire to let you in. Stories like yours make me so sorry I ever got involved with the borg, and exposed my children to that life.

number 10 on the list of most psychopathic is civil servant. I wonder what that says about me?
hi guys, i'm new here.
been a lurker for a long time.
my back story is that i've been studying on and off with jw since 2003. i know it may seem strange but i guess is possible.
welcome!
i was in an used bookstore this weekend and saw a new world translation and some other society publications.
this made me think, what did others do with their books?
i gave mine to my mother, 22 years ago.
I threw it all away. I didn't have anything really old or hard to find anyway.
not predictions for 2013 per se, but a couple i could see happening in the not-too-distant future:.
the society takes the hundred year anniversary of 1914 head-on with more spin and disinformation.
already laid the groundwork with the "100 years ago" feature in the new yearbook.
I predict that I will get more gray hair and wrinkles.
poor cognac's challenge has me thinking.. as a non-jw, if i were to marry this jw, would the congregation attribute problems we would encounter to him being married to me?
i don't want to be a punching bag.
couples have challenges.
IMO, the scapegoat, punching bag, is exactly what you'd likely be.
you have all read in newspapers , heard it on tv, radio ,of the 23 year old indian woman student who was gang raped recently by no less than 10 men on a bus then severely beaten with an iron bar and then thrown off the bus in singapore and has since died of her injuries .. those perpretrators of that crime are deserving of the death sentence in my book .. if you willfully take a life or ,are a party to it ,you automatically forfeit your own life .that`s my philosophy .. what`s yours.
smiddy.
In cases where there is absolutely no possibility that the person was wrongly convicted, I'm all for the death penalty. However, in cases where guilt isn't 100% certain, I think the death penalty should be suspended.
what a wonderful holiday season!
time with family, time for fun, and in the midst of it all - we got married!
after christmas we were in palm springs for the weather and golf, but took off for nevada on thursday and tied the knot in a sweet, simple ceremony.
congrats!!
